The speed of your website is important for several reasons. Often, visitors will simply click away from a website that is taking too long to load. Another reason which is equally important is that Google uses page load times as a factor in search ranking algorithms. Your site speed could be the difference between being ranked first, or being ranked fifth. Nonetheless, to minimize the load time of your site, I personally use the following plugins for all my own sites, as well as for sites I build for my business clients.
